Monday

Coopers Edge School

Whilst not a community event directly Coopers Edge School opens its doors to pupils for the first time on Monday. There has been massive community involvement in the establishment of the school and we would like to wish all the staff and children a fantastic first week.

Community Consultation

We will be undertaking a thorough consultation of residents in late September. We are in the process of preparing the questionnaire and need to ensure all the important issues are raised. We need to test this with approximately 12 residents & need volunteers for this & to attend the Temporary Community Centre on Monday 12th September at 7.00 p.m. The consultation will lead to our local action plan & so please help us out with making it right. – We already have some volunteers but you are very welcome to come along!

Tuesday

Coming next week…..

The first ever Coopers Edge Clean up day take places on Saturday 24th of September. Starting at 10am from the bus stop near the T junction. It is basically going to consist of picking up the litter – womble style. As such we will need a number of team leaders to help with the organisation and a host of volunteers to pick the litter – the more the merrier. Hopefully it will show what a pro-active bunch we are and that we want to take charge, pride and care of our environment and our community in a positive way
